Valleys are places of refreshing and growth, although you have to be patient to wait out the dry season. Valleys are individualized. You may be going through some of them right now. But hold on Saints, God is with you and will never forsake you. Here is a list of valleys you may be wandering around in:

The Valley of Doubt - When your faith begins to waver in light of problems, then Satan attacks. Doubt erodes your faith. Faith is lost and hope follows in the way of faith. It is in these times that you need to drag out Gods resume of all the things He has done for you. Your faith will increase, your trust will be restored, and your hope will be restored.

The Valley of Discouragement - When you are tempted to give up, then Satan attacks. Temptation rules the fragmented heart. But temptation is not binding if you resist the devil. Rebuke him and watch him run, for rebuke is an awesome weapon of your warfare. Since the devil is already defeated, by employing rebuke you easily resist the devil.

Valley of Disappointment - When you see the wicked do well and God's people have problems, and then Satan attacks. Keep your focus on Jesus not on your circumstances. Your circumstances are changeable like the wind or weather. You can easily change your circumstances by speaking to them in prophecy or through prayer. Try it and see how easily your disappointment turns into a divine appointment with God!

Valley of Discipline - When you fail the Lord and He deals with you, then Satan attacks. Discipline is necessary for any Christian who professes to be a soldier for Christ. Discipline is spiritual training to improve your strength or self-control. You have a choice, you can train by instruction or by punishment through the disadvantage or painful consequences of an action or condition.

Valley of Defeat - When you give in to the flesh, then Satan attacks. Galatians 5 talks about the fruits of the flesh and the fruits of the Spirit. We choose to walk in the flesh or walk in the Spirit. How you walk determines your experience in the valley of defeat. You never have to experience the feeling that accompanies an experience of being thwarted in attaining your goals if you walk in the Spirit. Discipline yourself to walk in Him and after Him. He will make a way for if you put Him first.

Valley of Decision - When you don't know which way to go, then Satan attacks. Double-tongued and double-minded is a residue from the reprobate beginnings of the old man. James 1:8 and James 4:8-10 talks about the curse and unstable soul of the double-minded. When you submit to God through humbleness, you will find pride being broken and your heart being given direction. The decision is not yours, but His. Just ask Him. Wait upon the Lord for His answer, then exercise your faith and take the step toward the sound mind God has given you.

Valley of Division - When family and friends turn upon you and separate from you, then Satan attacks. Its tough when the loved ones have rejected you because you choose to walk holy and upright before God, especially when they knew you when you were not walking right. It puts a kink in their life style and in your relationship. But you must separate yourself willingly for God, Himself, has called you out from among them so that you may serve Him.

Valley of Death - When loved ones die, then Satan attacks. The absence of life, a time at which life ends, these are most difficult times. The exception is when the departed has known the Lord and is lying in the bosom of Jesus while you grieve for your loss. The greater pain is in knowing that your loved one has not received the gift of eternal life by refusing to become born again and Spirit filled. It is during these times that Jesus walks closer to you than a brother and the Holy Spirit comforts. Let your soul be comforted by His great consolations.

The church goes through valleys too:

Valley of Dryness - Churches get into predictable routines, then Satan attacks. The church needs to intensify their worship, putting more importance on praise and worship than on pomp and ceremony. God requires us to minister to Him and in turn He will minister to us through the gifts of the Spirit of prophecy, exhortations, deliverance, and healing.

Valley of Division - When the enemy is allowed to creep in, then Satan attacks. Leaders and would-be leaders are especially prone to being hit by this maneuver from the devil. This is how this crafty spirit operates. He will cause a situation to develop between two or more people, which may bring their righteousness into question by another. It is in the words of direction that seems like the Holy Spirit, where the devil will whisper for you to leave this church, citing the frailties of the situation. This is precisely the time to stand and resist the devil instead of running away from issues that concern you. Remember, God is your defense, not man. Pray for justice and for the truth to be revealed; and watch how God moves on your behalf.

Valley of Unconcern - Sometimes churches get caught up in living for self, then Satan attacks. Churches can be so busy with church business, they forget about the business of winning souls. Sometimes, the church worries about their financial needs, and forgets about the needs of the mission fields. Sometimes, you have church apathy, passing the labors of the church unto someone else, instead of picking up the weapon of warfare, or your check book or some other tool that would be employed to harvesting and threshing on the threshing floor. Congregational attitudes often leave the work to the ones that have always done it. Your turn is coming and your hands are need. Get busy with the relief for those souls who have manned the helm long enough. Take your turn.

Valley of Sinfulness - Sometimes sin gets into a church, then Satan attacks. Preachers fall, they are not perfect as many of you have seen public displays of sexual sin and the practice of offering money in order to gain an illicit advantage. Church members fall short of the glory too. Paul tells us that you ought to not judge but bare each others burdens. In this way, you are accounted righteous for helping your brethren through the valley of sinfulness. Sinners go to church. Thats where they ought to be. So help your brethren through the valley walk and pray for their salvation.

I am finding out that when one is a valley walker, IF we allow the Lord to chastise us, that is where we grow in Him. Cant be on the mountaintop all the time! Also we stay in the valley at lengths sometimes, because we dont submit to God right away. We are the ones that limit God! God Bless! :)

AMEN!

The Wilderness of Sin is where the children of Israel walked for 40 years; it was their next generation that finally grew out of the previous generations' unwillingness to grow...hence the desert experience.

God knows just how to get His children to eventually submit to His ways....even if it takes a life time or two....amen!

Thanks for your commentary. ~Minister Falcon
